Motherhood changed me. Supporting mothers became my life's work.
For more than twenty years, I have cared for mothers and babies as a NICU nurse and lactation consultant.
I have spent my career supporting families through some of the most joyful, vulnerable, and transformative moments of their lives. I've witnessed the strength of mothers whose babies arrived unexpectedly, the determination of women learning to breastfeed for the first time, and the quiet self-doubt that often accompanies new motherhood.
My professional life has shaped me, but so has my experience as a mother. Breastfeeding and raising my own children deepened my appreciation for just how much unseen work motherhood requires and how important it is for mothers to feel supported, informed, and confident in their own instincts.
The gap I couldn't ignore.
For as long as I can remember, I have been intentional about the choices I make for my family. I've always believed that the products we bring into our homes matter. Not because perfection is possible, but because thoughtful choices shape the environment in which our children grow.
As I supported thousands of mothers and navigated motherhood myself, I began noticing the same pattern. Women were working incredibly hard to nourish their babies, yet many of the tools surrounding feeding felt disposable, confusing, and disconnected from the care that went into producing that milk in the first place.
That realization eventually led to the creation of Milk Drunk Club and MilkHaven.
Both were built from the same belief: that mothers deserve practical support, thoughtful tools, and the confidence that comes from feeling informed and empowered rather than overwhelmed.
My hope is that everything we create helps make motherhood feel a little calmer, a little simpler, and a little more supported.
